Better Renderings Of Texas & Pacific Warehouse Redevelopment

I’ve now got some much better renderings of the in-planning Texas & Pacific Warehouse redevelopment project, and I know you would all love to see them. :) These are much better than the renderings I’ve shown before. The TownSite Co. acquired this building not long ago when it bought what is usually known as the former Motheral Printing site in the Near Southside. TownSite is making plans at the 11-acre assemblage of buildings and vacant lots centered around the intersection of South Main & Pennsylvania for a mixed-use development on the [...]

Rogers Road Mystery Revealed: Gallery 1701 Apartments

I’ve been noticing a new building rising on Rogers Road between Collinsworth and Riverfront (near University Park Village), and from the method of construction I figured it was a new apartment development. There hasn’t been any sort of information at the construction site as to what was going on, and I haven’t heard anything [...]

SoSeven Construction Update

Phase one of SoSeven’s Shops & Lofts is progressing steadily. With construction having neared completion on the first two buildings, which will be office space over retail, most work is concentrated on the third and fourth buildings, which will be condos over retail. Here, the condo/retail building fronting 7th rises alongside the first [...]

West 7th Construction Update

We took a look at Museum Place yesterday, and now it’s time for the West 7th development by Cypress Equities down the street. Framing should be getting underway shortly for the apartments above the retail here in these two buildings on either side of Crockett Street. The buildings should top out at 5 [...]

Museum Place Construction Update

Finally took the time away from remodeling to get some construction photos. Here’s an update on the progress at Museum Place in the Cultural District. One Museum Place, the big retail/office/condo building, is very nearly complete, as seen in the photo above. The last bits of glass and such are going up [...]

Notes From Tom Struhs Presentation On Trinity Bluff - Bass Family Planning Grocery Market

I was unable to attend the presentation developer Tom Struhs gave on the Trinity Bluff project at the TRV offices last night, but I’ve pieced together some notes from the presentation from various sources. Here’s some of the interesting stuff Mr. Struhs revealed:

The Bass family is in some sort of planning stages for a [...]

The plot thickens. More info as it becomes available.
UPDATE: There is some word that the [...]

The Cassidy - Signs of Life for Sundance Square Condo Tower?

I’m hearing that crews have installed a logo for the Cassidy, the long-rumored 22-story condo tower planned for the southeast corner of the intersection of 3rd & Throckmorton downtown. Could we be at long last nearing the start of the project?
Not much is known about the Cassidy, except that it’s a Bass family project, [...]

Urban Home Tour - Pecan Place Townhomes, New Phase

I’ve taken you through the Pecan Place townhomes before, but with construction wrapping on a new phase of the project, I decided to take another look. This new phase is notably different from the previous parts of the development, both inside and out.

More Trinity Bluff On The Way

I know, I know. Why am I showing you photos of vacant lots? Well, these two vacant lots are the next phases of Trinity Bluff that are now getting underway. The photo above shows the bluffside location where Lincoln Property Company is building a series of townhome-style apartments. This 2.4 acre [...]

Lancaster Lofts - Residential Redevelopment On East Lancaster

Here’s a real urban pioneer - this industrial building from 1926 on the long-beleaguered East Lancaster near downtown has been converted to residential loft apartments and is now leasing. The Lancaster Lofts have units ranging from 767 square feet to 1,000 square feet, with rents ranging between $700 and $900 per month. The [...]

On The Height Of The Omni

There has been some confusion out there about the Omni Hotel’s recent topping out ceremony at 447 feet. The height of the building had been widely reported at 547 feet - this had always been my understanding. So what happened to the other 100 feet?
Omni didn’t actually drop 100 feet. The building [...]

Villa De Leon Progress - And Views!

Today’s update on Villa De Leon comes not from my camera, as is usually the case. See, though I dedicate as much time as possible to Fort Worthology, I also have various other things going on in my life - sleeping, eating, work, recreation time, that sort of thing. From time to time, [...]

Floorplans for Villa De Leon

Villa De Leon, the new luxury condo building currently rising on the Trinity Bluffs, has floorplans for viewing, and I thought I’d share them. The condos at Villa De Leon aren’t exactly cheap - they start at $786,000 - but they’ve certainly got some spectacular views and amenities. Click any of the floorplans [...]

Omni Hotel & Condos

My friend John Roberts, architect and creator of the great Architecture in Fort Worth web site, says the Omni’s got two more occupied floors and four mechanical floors left to go before it tops out. It is certainly starting to have a dramatic presence. Not much more to report, really, so just enjoy [...]

Trinity Terrace City Tower

Trinity Terrace’s new City Tower is mostly complete - and apparently already sold out. Not much to say about this one, so just enjoy the photos. We’ll be seeing their third tower, called River Tower, rising near this location on 7th in the not-too-distant future, I believe.

SoSeven

SoSeven’s Shops & Lofts are making steady progress - one of the new buildings already has two levels of condos atop its ground-level retail space, and framing for the third should be rising shortly.

In the back of the property, they’re continuing with the construction of more blocks of townhomes.

When completed, they’ll look like these.

The Art [...]
