Two More Tenants Headed To So7

Via So7′s web site, there are two more restaurants headed to the ground floors of the mixed-use development’s loft buildings. Listed with only the description “Coming Soon!” is Chuy’s, which from what we can tell is this Chuy’s, originally from Austin but with several locations now.

Also listed, with a bit more information, is “So7 Bistro,” which is described thusly:

So7 Bistro is Jean Michel Sakouhi’s modern French-American restaurant where traditional French cuisine meets the flavors of the American market. The fresh, seasonal menu will highlight the quality of superior ingredients served in a casual setting. Here you will find one of Fort Worth’s top bistros with easy going, and delicious dining at lunch or dinner. Slated to open in early 2010 at 2401 West 7th Street.

Longtime readers will remember that local French establishment St. Emilion was once listed as a tenant of So7, but the new So7 Bistro is the work of a Dallas restauranteur.

The Love Shack sometimes feels a bit lonely in So7′s otherwise vacant storefronts, so these additions will help liven things up for the place. We’ve also heard talk of a pizza place, but there’s no real confirmation of that out there yet.

Responsible and thoughtful comments are welcome. Be aware, though, that this site exists in part as an advocacy site for New Urbanism and its potential to remake Fort Worth into an even more livable city than it is today. Thoughtful dissent is generally welcome insofar as it fosters thoughtful replies. Inflammatory dissent, whether intentional or not, will be deleted. Commenters whose comments we routinely delete will be banned. Nothing personal, but this is a privately owned and operated web site, and we are aiming for a specific tone and audience. Work within those guidelines and all will be well.

I like the addition of Chuy’s. It’d be really nice if So7 and West 7th could attract more restaurants for the Average Joe. I don’t mean chain restaurants – just places that I could afford to eat without having to break the bank.

    Chuy’s Boom-boom enchiladas…amazing.

    Isn’t Chuy’s a “chain”?

    Isn’t Love Shack a “chain”?

Its great to see the commercial space along West 7th Street getting leased. However, I do hope to see the “Big 4″(Museum Place, MP, West7th So7) attract a more diverse group of tenants, e.g. clothing, furnitire, music, electronics, and other types of retailers will help to make this a great neigborhood.

its great to see all these tenants move in .but i think there is going to be a problem with parking

  8. Jeremy says:

I thought they had tons of parking garage space?

  9. They do. Not only does the development have on-street parking on some of their new interior streets, they also have a couple of surface lots (which will be replaced with more loft buildings eventually) *and* a large underground garage accessed off Stayton.

*None* of the 7th Street developments should have any parking problems. If anything, they tend to err on the excessive side of parking.

I’m pretty sure they thought out parking, and I know So7 and West 7th (especially West 7th) have a big ol bunch of parking garages.

I agree with Travis…The restaurants are getting a little redundant. Would love to see something besides all these eateries too. Need some clothing stores to mix it up. Urban Outfitters, Express, Guess, American Eagle, etc.
