Congratulations to all of the owners of The Usual who have put so much of their money, time, sweat, sometimes blood, yes, even blood, and extremely hard work into Fort Worth’s newest cocktail lounge. Brad, John, Casey, Bill, Juan, and Sarah, I am so excited for you all. I would especially like to acknowledge the contractor/part owner, Bill Smith for his exceptional craftsmanship and design. His collaboration with Kara Keith, principal designer, made this old, historic building a thriving beautiful gathering place for the people of Near South Side and beyond. I look forward to the delectable drinks to accompany many great conversations at The Usual.

the sidecar is my all time favorite drink but I’ve never ordered it at a regular bar because I know I’ll get looked at like i’m from Mars.
