Former Foch Street Warehouse Going Mixed-Use

As noted in the Star-Telegram, Caprock has purchased a former industrial warehouse space at 1111 Foch Street, the last piece of property before the Lancaster Avenue bridge and at the south end of the Foch Warehouse complex, to redevelop it into a mixed-use property. Now, we’ve got a few more details, as well as a simple rendering.

Caprock will be converting 1111 Foch into retail, office, and residential space. On the ground floor on Foch, there will be a 4,000 square foot retail/restaurant/bar space with the option of patio space. In the eastern portion of the building, adjacent to the SoSeven development, will be 6,000 square feet of office space on the ground floor with four loft apartments on the second floor. A small parking area and drive will go adjacent to the Lancaster bridge, and the drive has the potential to connect through to the SoSeven development as well.

Below is Caprock’s early rendering of the finished redevelopment project:

When last we were in the area, it looked like work had already started on the project. For more information, check out Caprock’s 1111 Foch site.

Responsible and thoughtful comments are welcome. Be aware, though, that this site exists in part as an advocacy site for New Urbanism and its potential to remake Fort Worth into an even more livable city than it is today. Thoughtful dissent is generally welcome insofar as it fosters thoughtful replies. Inflammatory dissent, whether intentional or not, will be deleted. Commenters whose comments we routinely delete will be banned. Nothing personal, but this is a privately owned and operated web site, and we are aiming for a specific tone and audience. Work within those guidelines and all will be well.

Kevin, Thanks for the props and pics!

We’re super excited and hope to bring a local restaurant into the area soon.

We’ll also have 3 to 4 lofts (one bedroom set ups) for lease upstairs! So you could walk to Fred’s or Chimy’s!
If you’ll send me your email I’ll forward you progress as we go into construction mode on the exterior. We’ve demo the interior back to the orig walls and concrete columns. It’s a very stout building. It’s great to save an old building and bring it back to life.

You guys are doing a great job of covering the new developments around town. Keep up the good work.

    Thks, Eric

I wonder how much they’re going to like having a drill site right across the street:
