First Friday on the Green – This Friday at 6:00 PM

It’s time for another First Friday on the Green! Fort Worth South’s live music series in the Near Southside has now bumped up to three musical acts – this time around, there’ll be Tim Locke from Calhoun, Chatterton, and Jordan Mycoskie and the Fire Breathing Fish.

Come to Magnolia Green Park in the Near Southside at 6:00 for this free live music event. Bring your family, friends, pets, blankets, and chairs – Chadra Mezza & Grill will have food and drinks to buy (no outside containers or coolers, please). Admission is free, though you can bring a canned food item to benefit the Tarrant Area Food Bank.

Hope to see you at First Friday on the Green this Friday! Magnolia Green Park is located on Lipscomb between Magnolia & Rosedale.

Responsible and thoughtful comments are welcome. Be aware, though, that this site exists in part as an advocacy site for New Urbanism and its potential to remake Fort Worth into an even more livable city than it is today. Thoughtful dissent is generally welcome insofar as it fosters thoughtful replies. Inflammatory dissent, whether intentional or not, will be deleted. Commenters whose comments we routinely delete will be banned. Nothing personal, but this is a privately owned and operated web site, and we are aiming for a specific tone and audience. Work within those guidelines and all will be well.

It’s too bad you can’t BYOB.

Our family has brought a cooler to every First Friday and will continue to do so. I think the main point of the no cooler request is to help out the vendors. We always make a point of buying a few items from vendors, and if everyone that brings a cooler does the same, I don’t see why there should be a problem.

I AM MADE OF COOLERS! WILL YOU STILL DENY ME ACCESS?

Considering Fort Worth South and the Fort Worth Weekly are giving you these shows and artists for free you should look at purchasing beer and food from the vendor Chadra. Support, and do not forget to bring a can of food for TAFB.
