Villa de Leon at Trinity Bluff has made more facade progress and it’s starting to become more visible as scaffolding disappears. Villa de Leon is a luxury condo development featuring 23 units starting at $750,000.
Responsible and thoughtful comments are welcome. Be aware, though, that this site exists in part as an advocacy site for New Urbanism and its potential to remake Fort Worth into an even more livable city than it is today. Thoughtful dissent is generally welcome insofar as it fosters thoughtful replies. Inflammatory dissent, whether intentional or not, will be deleted. Commenters whose comments we routinely delete will be banned. Nothing personal, but this is a privately owned and operated web site, and we are aiming for a specific tone and audience. Work within those guidelines and all will be well.
I have a question/concern about S. Ft. Worth. Why is it that the majority of city and business development is all north of Magnolia Ave?
Everything south of Magnolia seems to be ignored by the city. The area around Southwestern Seminary is in huge contrast to the area around TCU.
For example, the intersections of Berry & Hemphill and Seminary & Hemphill have a huge traffic hump that damages unsuspecting cars. There are no trees planted, the streets need repaving, and all the buildings look stuck in the 1970s.
Also, do you know why the highways and bridges aren’t as colorful and aesthetically pleasing as the highways in Dallas? I don’t think Dallas has chain-link fences on their bridges over highways.
