Fort Worth’s very own Rahr & Sons Brewery in the Near Southside is in a race to win “Best Down South Craft Brewery” at TheFullPint.com. As of this writing, it’s close – Rahr is on top with 1,575 votes, but they’re just barely ahead of Sweetwater Brewing with 1,529 votes. Voting ends this Friday – I hope Fort Worthology readers will go to TheFullPint.com and vote for Rahr for Best Down South Craft Brewery!
Responsible and thoughtful comments are welcome. Be aware, though, that this site exists in part as an advocacy site for New Urbanism and its potential to remake Fort Worth into an even more livable city than it is today. Thoughtful dissent is generally welcome insofar as it fosters thoughtful replies. Inflammatory dissent, whether intentional or not, will be deleted. Isn’t this really for “Most Popular Down South Craft Brewery” since it’s based on number of votes? I’m willing to bet a lot of people voting have never tried any of the other choices.
I suppose, but that’s TheFullPint’s call. I’m just trying to support our home team.
And for those who support locally owned microbreweries, there is an informative article in today’s Fort Worth Star Telegram regarding proposed legislation to change how microbreweries can sell their products. So after you go to the thefullpint.com, call your legislator.
