New Bar Headed To Cultural District

Even in these difficult economic times, people still have to drink. So the news that a new bar is headed to the Cultural District off 7th Street isn’t much of a surprise:
Capital Bar is set to open its doors in May at 3017 Morton St., two blocks south of the other large developments currently under way along West Seventh Street and one block east of University Drive. The jewel of the 2,600-square-foot building will be an additional 1,500 square feet of outdoor space in its rooftop bar. “The roof-top patio is really what’s going to set this bar apart,” said Clay Mazur, managing partner of Mazur Capital LLC, the property’s owner. “Friends and colleagues will enjoy hanging out in style and comfort while watching the sun set on downtown Fort Worth.”
The Capital Bar will be on the next block south of the West 7th development by Cypress Equities. Here’s the building as it sits currently:
