A new podcast for the weekend! And the audio quality is significantly less weird this time! This time, we’re talking about supporting local businesses. This episode was recorded on location at Spiral Diner on Magnolia Avenue in the Near Southside. Enjoy.

Responsible and thoughtful comments are welcome. Be aware, though, that this site exists in part as an advocacy site for New Urbanism and its potential to remake Fort Worth into an even more livable city than it is today. Thoughtful dissent is generally welcome insofar as it fosters thoughtful replies. Inflammatory dissent, whether intentional or not, will be deleted. Commenters whose comments we routinely delete will be banned. Nothing personal, but this is a privately owned and operated web site, and we are aiming for a specific tone and audience. Work within those guidelines and all will be well.
Thanks for the idea of looking at Etsy.com for regional vendors. I can definitely use that for a blog post here in the near future.
I’m trying very hard to have Fort Worth Renaissance cover locally-owned places. This week was Lili’s Bistro. http://www.fwrenaissance.com/?p=705
Thanks so much for your support!
Amy, Lindsey and I have talked extensively about setting up some sort of weekend craft sale across the street (west of Spiral) in the grassy section of the parking lot – let people bring their handmade clothes and other wares and sell it in the pleasant spring weather. Of course, busyness has kept us from getting it off the ground but maybe you guys can help us make that happen!
Glad to get a new podcast, Kev. Keep ‘em coming and thanks for the shout out!
P.S. Try the Paul Rueben next time you are at Spiral. It’s teh awesomez.
