Took this photo a while back at the last Arts Goggle in the Near Southside, in front of the building that houses Spiral Diner, Lili’s Bistro, and Panther City Bicycles. Never did post it, so here it is.
Responsible and thoughtful comments are welcome. Be aware, though, that this site exists in part as an advocacy site for New Urbanism and its potential to remake Fort Worth into an even more livable city than it is today. Thoughtful dissent is generally welcome insofar as it fosters thoughtful replies. Inflammatory dissent, whether intentional or not, will be deleted. Commenters whose comments we routinely delete will be banned. Nothing personal, but this is a privately owned and operated web site, and we are aiming for a specific tone and audience. Work within those guidelines and all will be well.
Don’t forget The Fairmount a block down.

While I like the Fairmount a lot, it’s actually more like 11 blocks from where this was taken.
…and on the other side of Hemphill.
Too bad you weren’t doing HDR for this shot, could use the panther city bikes sign.
Indeed. Of course, HDR is problematic in shots with lots of moving people, because of the fact that they’ll be in different places in each of the exposures. It takes a lot of Photoshop finesse to make it look right.
Alternatively, one could do a single-file HDR from the RAW image. Not always successful. I may pull up the old RAW file and see what it’d look like.
This shot is awesome, the colors are incredible. I love it!
