It’s back! The Fort Worthology Show returns to the podcasting airwaves, retooled and brought back after a long hiatus. Join co-host Stephanie Scarborough and myself as we talk Fort Worth urbanism, architecture, transit, and more. Today’s episode: the Tarrant County College buildings. We unload quite a bit of strong dislike on the cancelled TCC campus buildings and a lot of modernism in general on this one - hey, we’re traditionalists, what can we say? So, if you’re a modernist fan, don’t say we didn’t warn you.

(The URL given for the Show’s page at the end is not correct - it’s actually fortworthology.com/show/.)

  • Just a note: I’m still working on audio quality. We’re zeroing in on a good sound, so just bear with us over the coming episodes and I think we’ll find the sweet spot.

  • Those things are horrid, they look like 1960’s TV from LA. As a student in High school I couldent imagine going there and all. yuck yuck yuck.

I like th podcast though! as an owner of an iPhone Fortworthology has become part of my daily life. (same goes for the proposed forum)

  • Also-Im very concerned that Bingy here is also in charge of the Trinity River Vision. thats just a scary prospect to me. hopefully itll keep a classical urban style, and give our own Riverwalk, like SA. hopefully itll end up looking like this:

  • I was wondering about the curtain wall design. Thanks for triggering my recollection of freeway walls.

Though I have a taste for eclectic design, these bunkers are a blight on the city. Perhaps they can be covered with dirt…

Strong egos with an open checkbook and a total lack of common sense really screwed the taxpayers.

    Thanks for this site!
