Today’s update on Villa De Leon comes not from my camera, as is usually the case. See, though I dedicate as much time as possible to Fort Worthology, I also have various other things going on in my life - sleeping, eating, work, recreation time, that sort of thing. From time to time, various projects slip through the cracks for a while. Such is the case with Villa De Leon, which I haven’t gotten a photo of in a while.
However, my friend Mary Margaret Davis from CondoSmart Realty has helped me out on this (Mary Margaret is the sales manager over at the gorgeous Texas & Pacific Lofts). Thanks to her, I can bring you these recent photos of the progress being made over at Villa De Leon - including some of the first real-world views from the building’s upper floors.
Crews are erecting the fifth floor of VDL’s six now. This view is from the Samuels Avenue side.
On the side facing the river, this curved element will face the building’s pool/terrace area.
I’m not certain, but this appears to be the view from the pool/terrace deck.
Finally, this view is from the fourth floor, the highest finished floor thus far. VDL has some truly beautiful views.
Condos at Villa De Leon start at $786,000. Be sure to check the development’s web site for more information.

As I tried to make my way downtown this morning, I noticed that the road was closed and about 20 cement trucks were lined up in front of the De’. The Schwing concrete pump was all the way up at the fifth floor, so I assume they are pouring it today. Seems this stick built steel construction goes up fast. They’ll be pouring 6 and topping off in no time I’m sure.
