Just a quick note on another media appearance by little ‘ole me. The new July issue of Indulge Magazine features a great story about, and overview of, local urban living options by Meda Kessler, and yours truly is quoted. Here’s an excerpt:
Buchanan is particularly a champion of Fort Worth’s South Side, where smaller developers are fully grasping the urban living concept and running with it.
“The spotlight’s on West 7th Street and Museum Place, and that’s well-deserved because there are some good things happening there, but cohesive design and attention to zoning, as well as dedicated citizens, are why I tend to tout that area [South Side] more than others.”
Among Buchanan’s favorite projects is Sawyer Grocery, a 1909 brick building on South Main Street. “Eddie Vanston, the developer, is doing an amazing job with a beautiful old building.” Another commercial-retail combination, the loft-size units will be unique with many original details, according to Buchanan, who’s toured the building.
You can pick up the print edition of Indulge at many places, or you can read the issue online at indulgedfw.com. Thanks to Meda Kessler and the good people at Indulge for letting me participate!
