Sawyer Grocery Mixed-Use Progress

The restoration and redevelopment of the Sawyer Grocery buildings on South Main has really brightened up that part of town, and work has been steadily progressing. As you can see, the exteriors are getting to be fairly complete, while significant progress inside can be seen through the windows compared to the progress I saw when I toured the buildings some months back. Three cheers once again to Eddie Vanston for doing so much to turn around South Main.

I’ve heard that work is likely to begin on the Miller Manufacturing Building a block to the east fairly soon as well. Stay tuned for updates on that project.
