Carnegie Facade Going Up

The Carnegie’s tan brick & stone facade is now going up. Crews look to have almost the entire third floor of the building done thus far. The facade fits in with many classic Fort Worth structures, as tan & buff brick is one of Fort Worth’s signature styles.

It shouldn’t be long until the whole thing is in place. Until then, here’s some recent construction shots of the latest addition to Sundance Square. When the Carnegie opens in the summer, it will be at least 80% leased, and is projected to be fully leased by the end of the year. No word yet on retail tenants for the ground floor.

Responsible and thoughtful comments are welcome. Be aware, though, that this site exists in part as an advocacy site for New Urbanism and its potential to remake Fort Worth into an even more livable city than it is today. Thoughtful dissent is generally welcome insofar as it fosters thoughtful replies. Inflammatory dissent, whether intentional or not, will be deleted. Commenters whose comments we routinely delete will be banned. Nothing personal, but this is a privately owned and operated web site, and we are aiming for a specific tone and audience.
