West 7th Demolitions Continue

The wrecking keeps right on going at the West 7th site. The biggest remaining structures, the former Acme Brick buildings on 7th, are already showing signs of pre-demolition work – the Acme signage is all gone, and a demolition fence is going up around them.

Meanwhile, the former 7th Haven bar, the last holdout on the project’s “SouthCenter” block, has now been demolished.

And, as the already demolished blocks are cleared and graded for construction to begin…

…the first of Acme’s former buildings has already been demolished, with more awaiting their turn.

West 7th is a large new mixed use development by Cypress Equities, featuring architecture by Good, Fulton, and Farrell and Gideon Toal. It will bring extensive new retail, office, and residential space to the Cultural District. Click the image below for an overview rendering:
