District 9 Candidate Forum tonight - and next Thursday

Just a reminder - tonight is the District 9 City Council forum, being put on by the neighborhood associations of Fort Worth South at the Travis Avenue Baptist Church community center on Berry at Hemphill. The forum starts at 7:00 PM.

I’ve also now learned that there will be another candidate forum. This one will be next Thursday, the 25th. It’s being put on by Downtown Fort Worth, Inc., and will be held at the YWCA Building downtown. This one will start at 5:30 PM. Below is the text of the letter sent out by DFWI.

The District 9 City Council special election will be November 6th. The actions of City Council are vitally important to the continued success of downtown and Fort Worth’s entire center city. Six candidates have qualified to run for the District 9 seat.

It is important that you have a chance to hear the candidates and ask questions that are important to you, so DFWI is hosting a candidate forum on October 25th at the YWCA.

Please be sure to attend this meeting, and share what’s on your mind
with the candidates.
