Shops & Lofts at So7 start this month

I’ve been hearing now that, at long last, the Shops & Lofts at So7 will be getting underway this month. The final piece of the So7 puzzle, the Shops & Lofts will fill the field between the existing Residence Inn and 7th Street, and will feature retail fronting 7th, Stayton, and new roads built through the development.

I’ve also gotten a look at the final design of the Shops & Lofts. They’ve gone through several different styles, and seem to have settled on this. This is the 7th Street elevation, so this is what will front 7th. The development has been designed by Good, Fulton, and Farrell.

With the Shops & Lofts at So7 starting, the condo conversion of the Montgomery Ward building beginning, and the construction of West 7th and Museum Place, 7th Street between downtown and the museums is radically changing. It’s an exciting time for the Cultural District.
