Big news from Cypress Equities - we have received more renderings and details on their huge West 7th development that we’ve been following on the property bounded by 7th, University, Morton, and Foch. West 7th will feature 890,000 square feet of retail, office, hotel, and residential space featuring 288 residential units. It also appears that an arthouse theatre and possibly a market are part of the plans. 7th Street itself will be fronted by 7 story office buildings with ground floor retail. This looks like a great project. The architecture is varied and interesting, the density great, the layout very urban. West 7th, situated as it is between Museum Place to the west and So7 & Montgomery Plaza to the east, will totally transform 7th Street. By this time next year, it won’t even be recognizable.
