Big Trinity River Vision news - 36 acre mixed-use development around LaGrave Field announced

So it begins. We’ll give you a link to the Star-Telegram story for full details, but to summarize:

Fort Worth Cats owner Carl Bell has announced plans for a 36 acre mixed-use development between his team’s home of LaGrave Field and downtown. The development will feature 1.5 million square feet of office and retail space, and around 850 residential units. Next to the ballpark, there is the possibility of a condo tower and a hotel. A road through the development will be named Bragan Promenade, in honor of former Cats manager Bobby Bragan, and will feature a large circular plaza at LaGrave Field. Construction is set to begin within months.

This is a huge development for the planned Trinity River Vision project, which is just getting underway, and a big victory to those who have said the project would spur new development. It sounds like an incredible addition to the city and hopefully will lead to even more projects in the TRV/Uptown area. We’ll keep you up-to-date as we learn more.
