So, I can’t help but notice that Fort Worthology’s friend Steve-O has finally visited the fine folks at Spiral Diner. Steve, what took ya so long? Folks, listen to your old pal Kevin here when he says that if you’re not eating at Spiral Diner, you should be. I don’t care if you’re vegan or not, you have to visit them. Forget the “vegan” qualifier - it’s just darned good food, period.
The Sunday pancake-a-palooza is, as Steve has learned, probably the finest source of pancakes in the Panther City. That’s big talk, I know, in a city with such institutions as the immortal Paris Coffee Shop and Ol South Pancake House, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen anybody come away from a big plate of Spiral Diner pancakes without a huge grin. They’ll serve up plain and embellished versions each time, featuring ‘cakes based around various fruits, berries, and/or nuts. They also have real, tasty maple syrup for ‘em. The only downside is that they’re Sunday-only. How about, Amy & pals - could you share the sweet batter-based love every day?
Fort Worthology is also a big fan of dishes like the Sketti & “Meat”balls (a great choice for first-timers who aren’t sure they should be eating there), the hummus, the “Mitch” tofu club, the Philly cheez steak, the chopped BBQ sandwich, the Luv-Us Hummus wrap (mmmmmm…sweet potato), the tasty desserts, and the classic Jamaican Jerk BBQ Sandwich, which Fort Worthology has been enjoying since the old Rail Market days. To top it all off, they’re in a historic building and are a part of the fantastic rebirth of Fort Worth South. Plus, they’ve got a Tetris machine, so how could you not love them?
