Various things

Just a behind-the-scenes post for the curious:

Forum – The Fort Worthology Forum is now under full-scale development. The current plan is for it to be focused around New Urbanism, Transit-Oriented Development, Historical Preservation, Urban Design, and similar topics. I want it to be a great discussion site, while at the same time not drawing too much from the forum at Fort Worth Architecture. Look for more Real Soon Now.

Light Rail Page – The light rail page is under initial development, but will be a little further out than the forum. It’s a fairly big undertaking, so we appreciate your patience while we put it together.

Urban Design Education – Our educational post series will start to see some nice expansions. These take a while to put together, but we’re really happy to do them.

Fort Worth Urban Arts – A new project under initial brainstorming, this would be a sub-site that details local, independent arts of many sorts. A little ways out still.

Photo Book – Fort Worthology may be publishing a Fort Worth photo book. We are looking at the various options at this time. It would be comprised of Fort Worth urban photos by Fort Worthology’s own Kevin Buchanan. Still in initial design phase.

Fort Worth Urban Guide – Another book we’re thinking of is a handy “travel guide” of sorts to urban Fort Worth. Still out a ways in the future, but something we’re really excited about.

Responsible and thoughtful comments are welcome. Be aware, though, that this site exists in part as an advocacy site for New Urbanism and its potential to remake Fort Worth into an even more livable city than it is today. Thoughtful dissent is generally welcome insofar as it fosters thoughtful replies. Inflammatory dissent, whether intentional or not, will be deleted. Commenters whose comments we routinely delete will be banned. Nothing personal, but this is a privately owned and operated web site, and we are aiming for a specific tone and audience. Work within those guidelines and all will be well.
