Details emerge on T&P Warehouse redevelopment

That’s right - we are starting to get details on the often-rumored redevelopment of the massive Texas & Pacific Warehouse on Lancaster. The warehouse, the third building of the complex that also features the U. S. Post Office and the Texas & Pacific Terminal/Lofts, has been abandoned for many years and is ripe for redevelopment as the city moves ahead with the Lancaster Corridor project. The image below is from a city presentation on the subject, and while the image quality is not great, it gives a sense of what’s in store. Click for a bigger view:

As for details on the project, we can report that it will be a mixed-use development of 450,000 square feet. Approx. 300 apartments, 52,000 square feet of retail (street level) and office (2 floors). Total project cost approx. $54 million, in design phase, construction expected to start 2008. Fort Worthology will bring you more on this exciting project as we learn it.
