A New Look for City Place

The image above (from the Star-Telegram) shows the final form of the City Place project, unveiled today. The former Tandy Center has been under redevelopment for some time, but today’s announcement marks a significant change.

Originally, the twin Tandy towers were to continue looking more-or-less identical. As of today’s announcement, that plan is no more. The south tower, One City Place (the condo portion of the project), will follow the original renderings. The north tower, Two City Place (the office portion), is getting a totally different glassier appearance that will separate it from the condo portion. Also shown is what will replace the old mall between the buildings – a new parking structure, which can accommodate a third 20-story tower in the future if the need develops.

Stay tuned for further updates as they arrive.
