For anybody living in or passing through Fort Worth: what I consider the Best Darn Coffee Shop in the West, the Four Star Coffee Bar, has opened a new second location here in downtown, in the first floor of the old Reynolds Building on Houston Street across from the W. T. Waggoner Building. The Four Star is an independent, locally-owned coffee house that also has a tasty menu of a wide variety of foods (their Four Star Caesar Salad is fantastic) at reasonable prices.

I’d like to encourage everyone to pay a visit to the new downtown Four Star. In this age of a Starbucks on every corner, it feels good to support the local guys, and the Four Star is the best in the business. Check them out.

The downtown Four Star is open until 5:00 weekdays, though longer hours are coming as the new location gets on its feet.
